Like all great ideas, Forthright had its genesis in a pub, the original Celtic Crossings in Chicago.
The Fellows: a Raconteur, an Artist, a Brain and a Lush - All galvanised by their sense of adventure and treading the road less travelled, created Forthright Winery.
Our purpose is simple: produce fantastic wine that reflects our values and our way of life, which mainly involves enjoying the Craic surrounded by friends and family.
Good company deserves good wine, and with Forthright we make the wines we want to drink and share with all wine lovers.
The two Fellows on the ground, Patrick, who has over a decade of wine making experience and Rafer, who has three years of experience, hand-craft our wines without compromise. They know each and every barrel of wine we produce and they will only bottle our wine when it meets their high standards. Besides making the wine, they run the day-to-day winery operations, including hosting our incomparable barrel-to-bottle tasting experience out of our cave.
The remaining two Fellows, Ed and Sel, are more of long-distance support. Ed ‘The Stritch’ is based in Chicago, Sel is based in London, England.
Forthright - Eccentric, colourful and exceptional.
A craft. A code. A fellowship.
